Alagappa University BED Distance Education: Eligibility & Duration

Alagappa University offers a two-year BEd distance course through its Centre for Distance and Online Education. The BEd program is designed for in-service teachers working in government-recognised schools in Tamil Nadu. The eligibility criteria for the students are simple and straightforward. Applicants must hold a D.T.Ed., D.P.Ed., B.P.Ed., or M.P.Ed. Degree and should have completed an NCTE-recognised teacher education program through face-to-face mode.

Moreover, candidates must be currently employed as teachers and should have completed the 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 examination pattern from a recognised university. Eligible subject backgrounds include Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Computer Science, and more. The BEd distance course spans two years. Applications are accepted online only, and the payment is non-refundable. The course is approved by NCTE and offered at the Karaikudi campus of Alagappa University.
